I just found out that Rebbetzin Wohlgemuth died a few days ago.

I never had her as a teacher, since I went to Lubavitch for pre-school, but she always sat in on our Beur HaTefilla (understanding prayer, basically) classes that her husband taught us every week in high school.

She was a great person, and we're poorer now that she's gone. :-(

I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm assuming this is the wife of Rabbi Isaiah Wohlgemuth? (Um, I feel awkward asking this, but is he still alive?)

Yeah, he's her husband. As far as I know, he's still very much alive. How do you know him?

I know of him, but I don't know him directly. At a particularly influential point in my religious struggles a friend gave me a copy of his book on Jewish prayer, and it helped me understand a lot that I hadn't previously understood. It's apparently a pre-pub version or something; the book contains no publisher information, no contact info, no ISBN, etc.

I have the same book, actually. It's basically a book of the class he taught us.

Good book. Sounds like it would have been a good class. (Was the book ever published more widely?)

As far as I know, it never saw much print outside of Boston.
