1. What were the best and worst things about your childhood?

Hm. Best would probably be my parents. As much as I occasionally had issues with them growing up, they were some of the best examples of parenting that I've ever seen, and were generally great role models for me as a kid. Worst would probably be the social issues that cropped up when I was at Lubavitch. Really small class sizes in my formative years made it really hard for me to deal with larger groups of people.

2. What brought you to social work as your future career of choice, and what's behind the probably desire to stay out of administration?

I've always been drawn to helping professions. I'd want to avoid admin because it'd take me away from clients.

3. A man walks up to you with a large cake hovering next to him, which does not touch the ground at all, and offers you a slice. What do you do?

Ask him if it's kosher. :-)

4. What's one thing that you've learned (or done or decided if learned is too hard) that you don't think shows to the world? (And that isn't so personal that you feel uncomfortable sharing it.)

I'm proud of the listening skills I've picked up over the past few years in school. Not sure people recognize that sometimes.

5. How has your relationship with your siblings changed as you've gotten older, moved out, etc?

As they've matured, the dynamic changes. I can talk about things with my two younger sibs that I wouldn't have felt comfortable discussing earlier. Hyim's moving on with his life, and in a lot of ways that's caused some distance between us. We're still close, though.
